Bread Bite words of encouragement

Continuing our weekly series of inspirational messages, here is your Southern Cancer Center “Bread Bite”, from Pastor Brock Bruce of Christian Life Church in Mobile, AL.

Pastor Brock-
It’s Monday. Already. And like many of you, I’m having a Monday. Insurance issues, kid’s school, church work, waiting on a doctor’s report for my daughter… oh, and another storm may be heading our way. I’m so thankful that I have a God who is near to those who call.

Seek the LORD. Jesus taught us to ask, seek, and knock. Those words have the connotation of asking until you get an answer, seeking until you find, and knocking until the door is opened. God answers. God is near. God opens doors. Even on a Monday.

Seeking the LORD means to seek His heart, His nature, His character, His attributes, His face. To seek to know God and His mercy and grace, His peace and presence, His love and His wisdom. We must seek Him if we want to know Him deeply.

We also seek His strength. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we are tired and burdened or worn out and exhausted His strength uphold us. His strength carries us. His strength empowers us. His strength keeps us.

On this Monday, take a moment to seek the LORD and His strength.
