Bread Bite words of encouragement

As we continue to share words of encouragement, here is your Southern Cancer Center Friday “Bread Bite”, brought to you by Pastor Brock Bruce from Christian Life Church in Mobile, Alabama.

Pastor Brock-
“But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT

The LORD is faithful. He will not abandon you. He will not let you out of His care. He will not turn His back on you. His love is steadfast and unmovable. His kingdom cannot be shaken. While it may feel like nothing is working, and while there may be data to back that feeling up, God is working even when nothing else seems to be. He is faithful. You can trust Him.

He will strengthen you. You may feel weak, tired, like giving up and walking out, but know this today – Jesus knows your thoughts. He experienced your emotions. He wanted to give up, but He knew that God would be faithful. He pressed on. It’s this Jesus that now strengthens all those who trust Him. He will strengthen you.

He will guard you from the evil one. There is much evil. Much brokenness. Much injustice. Much sickness. Jesus told us that in the world we would have trouble, but to be joyful because Jesus had overcome the evil in the world. Yes, there is trouble, but trouble doesn’t have the final say. Yes, there is evil, but evil doesn’t have the final say. Jesus openly defeated evil on the cross, and now He guards us from the evil one. When He returns, He will restore all the beauty and goodness of creation. Until then, He guards, keeps, shepherds his people against the evil one. He guards us until that day.

Today I pray that you be encouraged. I pray that you find hope in the faithfulness of a God who strengthens and keeps watch over you.
