Bread Bite: God Never Wastes Anything

To share words of encouragement during these trying times, Southern Cancer Center would like to bring you an inspirational message from various ministers and pastors in our area. The below ‘Bread Bite’ is from Pastor Chad Price from Forest Hill Church of God in Mobile, AL.

Pastor Chad-
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So often we feel that as we place God at the center of our lives we are guaranteed to never face trials or strenuous situations. This is simply not the case. We all live in this fallen world that is full of corruption, lies, malice and deceit. We are all susceptible to the injustices around us. As a matter of fact, the Word of God also declares that in this life it will “rain on the JUST and UNJUST.” (Matthew 5:45)

Beyond protection from the evils in our world, we are promised something even greater; the promise that He will sustain us and walk right beside us in whatever season of life we find ourselves in. He says He will never “leave us or forsake us” (Deuteronomy 31:6) and that He is “with us always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Additionally, the writer of the book of James says: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God never wastes anything. He will not waste your experience – your pain and your triumphs; your joys and your sorrows. He uses them all for your good. “The testing of your faith produces perseverance.” Don’t lose heart today if you find yourself in fiery trials. It will all come to pass. And in the meantime, you can cast every care on Him – He promises that His kids won’t soon be forsaken.
