SCC Nurse Practitioner to Be Honored at the 2017 Black Out Cancer Ball
Break out that little black dress or suit and join the staff of Southern Cancer Center at the American Cancer Society’s 2017 “Black Out Cancer Ball”, as our very own Skyler Sherrell, CRNP, will be honored.
Slated for March 31st from 6pm – 11:30pm at the Fairhope Civic Center, this annual event, formally known as the Baldwin County Gala, raises money for the American Cancer Society that goes toward fighting back against a disease that touches so many people in our area. The event is sure to provide a fun-filled night while honoring the Bay Area’s most influential cancer warriors.
Skyler is an Auburn University graduate and a native of Greenville, AL, who sees patients at our Baldwin County offices. As a teenager, she lost her father to a 5-year battle with cancer, followed by losing her grandfather a short 6 months later. Cancer is a mission close to her heart and she is participating in this gala to help spread awareness about cancer to the Baldwin County area. Skyler has been an insightful and compassionate addition to SCC’s team and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments.
In addition to the honoree presentations, attendees will enjoy entertainment by Dr. Music, exciting live and silent auctions items provided by local businesses, and delicious cuisine. As part of the “Black Out” theme, guests are encouraged to wear black cocktail attire. General admission tickets are $100.
Through events like the Black Out Cancer Ball, Southern Cancer Center continues to support organizations such as ACS and the venerable work they put towards fighting cancer in our community. We hope to see you there!
