Stacy Powell, CRNP

Southern Cancer Center is proud to welcome Stacy Powell, CRNP, to our team of dedicated oncology providers. Stacy is a double board-certified nurse practitioner in both Family Practice and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.

Stacy earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, she has worked extensively in the field of oncology, serving patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Her clinical background includes roles at the University of South Alabama Health Surgical Oncology and OhioHealth Cancer and Surgical Specialists in Columbus, Ohio.

Stacy’s journey into medicine was driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on their comfort and care. Though she initially found her way into oncology by chance, she quickly discovered a deep passion for working with cancer patients. Her philosophy centers on personalizing care for each individual, recognizing that every patient’s journey is unique. She strives to build strong relationships with her patients, advocating for their needs while delivering care grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.

After relocating with her family back to the Mobile area, Stacy was eager to continue her work in oncology. She was drawn to Southern Cancer Center’s reputation for excellence and knew it was the right fit for her professional goals.

Outside of work, Stacy has been married for 13 years and is a proud mother of two. She enjoys reading, baking, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her favorite pastimes often involve being near or on the water, embracing the outdoors whenever possible.

We are thrilled to have Stacy as part of the Southern Cancer Center family, and we know her compassionate approach and dedication will be a tremendous asset to our patients and team. Stacy works as the nurse practitioner for Dr. Michael Meshad’s team and sees patients at our Springhill Medical Center clinic.
