Southern Cancer Center is proud to welcome Dr. Frank Pitruzzello, a board-certified radiation oncologist, to our practice. With over 30 years of experience in cancer care, Dr. Pitruzzello brings a deep commitment to patient-centered treatment and a strong foundation in clinical research.

Dr. Pitruzzello earned his medical degree from the Quillen-Dishner College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University and completed his residency and fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has held leadership roles in radiation oncology departments across the country, including serving as Medical Director in Iowa and Texas. His research background includes work on bone marrow recovery and immune cell function.

Since 2003, Dr. Pitruzzello has been a dedicated part of the Mobile medical community, most recently practicing at The Cancer Center at Providence Hospital. SCC is excited to welcome “Dr. P” to our team, where his deep expertise and compassionate care will be a tremendous asset to our patients and staff alike.
