Emily Ryan, FNP-C

Emily Ryan, FNP‑C, CWS, is a highly accomplished, board‑certified Family Nurse Practitioner who brings more than 15 years of diverse clinical experience to Southern Cancer Center’s Baldwin County locations. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds the distinguished credential of Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management.

Emily earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama. Her career spans extensive work in critical care, pain management, clinical education, leadership, and advanced wound management. Early in her training, Emily completed a fellowship in the Burn Intensive Care Unit at UF Health, an experience that cultivated her passion for complex wound care and deepened her commitment to improving outcomes for medically vulnerable patients.

From 2017 to 2026, Emily served patients at Baldwin Health, where she became known for her clinical expertise, collaborative approach, and dedication to patient‑centered care. Throughout her career, she has prioritized building strong, trusting relationships with patients and families while delivering evidence‑based, compassionate care.

Emily is excited to join Southern Cancer Center, where she will continue her mission of providing high‑quality, holistic care to patients in her community. She looks forward to supporting oncology patients with her specialized background in wound management, chronic disease support, and comprehensive family practice.

Outside of her clinical work, Emily enjoys time with her children and grandchildren and embraces any opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, particularly sunny days spent near the water. She is also the proud dog mom of Ripley, her energetic German Shorthaired Pointer. Although a loyal Alabama graduate, she also holds a soft spot for the Florida Gators.
