Southern Cancer Center is delighted to announce that Eric Roberts, DO, FACS will be joining our practice on May 1, 2025. With an impressive career in general surgery, Dr. Roberts brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to elevating patient care that aligns perfectly with our mission. Dr. Roberts has served the Baldwin County community since 2019, and held pivotal roles at Baldwin Health including Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery and Surgery Medical Director. His prior experience in the trauma and general surgery departments at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, further solidifies his expertise and dedication to his field.
“Healthcare is something that I have always been intrigued by since I was a little kid. I was the kid who loved going to the pediatrician’s office and looking at all of the equipment and instruments. I was always impressed by the fact that physicians were the ones people sought out in their time of need. I think surgery chose me more than I chose surgery. It was by far the hardest rotation in medical school, but I absolutely loved it. I tried hard to find other things in medicine that kept my attention and were less time-consuming, but I always kept coming back to surgery.”
Dr. Roberts is no stranger to Southern Cancer Center, having collaborated closely with our physicians in Baldwin County over the past few years. This familiarity ensures a seamless integration into our practice, where he will continue to provide exceptional care and see patients at clinic locations in Daphne and Foley. Dr. Roberts offers a comprehensive range of procedures, including breast surgery and breast cancer care, hernia surgery, skin surgery and skin cancer care, gallbladder, appendix, thyroid, and colon surgeries.

Beyond his professional accolades, Dr. Roberts is a family man. He and his wife live in Fairhope with their son and daughter. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and his hobbies include golfing, fishing and hunting.
