Dr. Ali Hachem grew up in Lebanon. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 1998. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in 2003 where he was named Chief Medical Resident. He completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Maryland in 2006, and was named an Assistant Clinical Instructor. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology/Oncology.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
Dr. Hachem joined The Cancer Center of Huntsville in 2006 and became a United States citizen in 2015. He and his wife enjoy traveling and he is the proud father of twin daughters and one son.
