Bread Bite words of encouragement

Continuing our weekly series of encouraging words, here is your Southern Cancer Center Friday “Bread Bite”, this week from Pastor Richie Nobles of Crossroads Church in Bay Minette, Alabama.

Pastor Richie-
“I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.”
Isaiah 45:3 NKJV

Over the past few days I’ve helped my mom and dad move. 33 years in the same house. 33 years of, “stick it in the attic.” 33 years of, “you will want this one day.” 33 years of memories. 33 years of life. Yesterday, I went over to tidy things up for them. Pack the rest of the little stuff and say goodbye to my home place. As I combed over the house, every room had memories. Hidden treasure. The mind is a wonderful thing, in a matter of seconds I was back to my childhood reliving those moments. Hidden treasure. I was secretly looking for the jars of cash that dad said he hid. Haha. I’m now convinced it was a hoax to get me to help.

Let me encourage you today in light of all the uncertainty that surrounds us to “make those hidden treasures”. Every day is a gift, treat it as such. You never know when this section of your story is over and it’s those memories that seal the chapter.

Inside of you resides greatness, don’t hide it any longer. You have value and worth. You are a treasure that the world needs to see. God sees it, you need to recognize it and live in it.
